The Story of Captain Cawette

It all started with my daughter, Noemy .
She was born with ADNP syndrome , a rare genetic disorder that affects her development. Behind this complicated name lies a reality made up of challenges, patience, support, but also immense joy with each small victory.

As a parent, you sometimes feel like you're navigating without a map, in a world where every step is a battle. So, to give meaning to this journey, I imagined a parallel universe.

A universe where Noemy becomes a heroine in search of lost artifacts . These artifacts represent pieces of her brain, like puzzle pieces that she must find in order to move forward, progress and flourish.

But a heroine never moves forward alone.
That's where Captain Cawette comes in: a small, trashy, insolent monkey who smokes, drinks, and burps. Far from being a perfect hero. And yet, he's the one who protects Noemy. Beneath his bratty exterior, he doesn't hesitate to put himself in danger to help her move forward.

👉 Captain Cawette is a bit of a metaphor for this role of parent: clumsy, not always glamorous, but ready to do anything to support his child in his fight.

From this came Artefacts .
A brand, yes. But above all, a story, a quest, an adventure .
Every design, every visual, every product is part of this universe. The artifacts you discover in our codex are symbols of this struggle: they tell of challenges, victories, and hope.

Artefacts is our way of transforming pain into strength, struggle into creation, and bringing other people along with us on this journey.

"Artefacts is not just a brand, it's a life story."
